Phone sales: calling and booking

Administrative Coordinator

OntarioRemoteSeasonal, to Aug 29, 2027Full-time or part-time$19.70–$20.00/h + commission
Email your application →

The role

This is a phone sales job. People ask us for a barbecue cleaning quote; you call them fast, answer their questions and book the job at the right price. You're paid by the hour, plus commission on the jobs you book once they're completed and paid. There are no dial quotas, but if you don't want to sell on the phone, this isn't the role for you. You work from home in Ontario, and you report to the Sales Manager.

What you'll do

  • Call the new leads the admin app assigns you, as fast as you can. How fast you make a first call is part of your commission.
  • Book each job accurately: the right appliances at the right price. If something changes before the visit, get the customer's confirmation in writing.
  • Follow up every lead you can't reach, by call, text and email, until it has a clear outcome.
  • Call our past customers in our rebook campaign.
  • Record every call, text and email in the admin app as it happens.
  • Keep discounts within your limit. A bigger discount needs approval in the admin app before you confirm the booking: from the Sales Manager up to their limit, and from an owner above it.
  • Pass any customer complaint about a completed job to our claims desk the same day, in the customer's own words.
  • Call customers only between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. their local time.

What we look for

  • You like the phone. And you like getting to a yes.
  • Speed. You call a new lead in minutes, not hours.
  • Accuracy. The job you book is the job we clean.
  • Calm. Steady with a customer who isn't sure yet, and polite with one who's annoyed.
  • Experience helps. Phone sales, booking or customer service experience is a plus. We train you on our process, paid.

Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada for the whole term
  • Able to work from home in Ontario
  • Available for shifts between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Full-time is about 40 hours a week: 5 shifts of 8 paid hours on 5 days in a row, with weekends on rotation. Part-time is typically 24 hours a week, in shifts of at least 4 hours. No minimum hours are guaranteed, full-time or part-time, and hours can be reduced in slower weeks on 7 days' notice.

Pay

  • $19.00 an hour, or $20.00 an hour if you worked 8+ weeks in an Aspect booking or admin role in 2026. At least $19.70 an hour for hours worked from home.
  • This role is remote, so every hour you work from home pays at least $19.70.

Plus commission

  • 1.25% of the pre-tax price of each job you book, using the lower of the booked and final price.
  • Earned once the job is completed and paid.
  • Only if the final price is no more than 15% above the booked price, after customer-approved add-ons and approved changes.
  • Multiplied by a speed factor: ×1.0, rising steadily to ×1.2 as your share of new leads first called within 30 calling minutes rises from 60% to 90%.
  • Doubled on system-tagged past-customer rebooks.
  • Split 50/50 if another coordinator who owned the lead contacted the customer in the prior 14 days.

Plus a team pool

  • An hours-based share of a monthly team pool of 0.4% of the team's completed and paid bookings.
  • It starts paying when 70% of new leads get a first real attempt within 60 calling minutes, pays in full at 80%, and needs the team's other standards met.

Plus a Season Completion Bonus

  • $0.75 for every hour you work, earned if you're employed on August 29, 2027 (the part-time September seat: September 30, 2027).
  • If Aspect ends your employment earlier, other than for wilful misconduct, it's paid on your hours to your last day plus any ESA notice period.
  • If you resign earlier, it isn't earned.

Also

  • Overtime after 44 hours a week.
  • 4% vacation pay.

Terms

  • Employer: Aspect Home Services Ltd. (operating as Aspect BBQ Cleaning).
  • Seasonal employee (T4). Fixed term from your start date (between March 1 and May 1, 2027, set in your offer) to August 29, 2027. One part-time seat runs to September 30, 2027.
  • This posting is for 8 existing vacancies for the 2027 season, full-time and part-time.
  • We use Claude, an AI tool, to help assess applicants; a person reviews every hiring decision.
  • Accommodations are available on request for applicants with disabilities at every stage of hiring: [email protected].
  • If we interview you, we'll tell you within 45 days of your last interview whether we've made a hiring decision.
  • Full terms are in the written agreement you'll receive before you start.
